The Contemporary Issues in Arts Management Conference "CIAM" is an annual event held by the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts "LIPA". It is a five day conference during which students from the Music, Theatre and Entertainment Management course present a broad spectrum of ideas, concerns and opinions on the issues currently affecting the ever changing environment that is the arts management industry.
This year’s conference is the 10th anniversary of the event and will be held at the Jury’s Inn on Liverpool’s famous Albert Dock. This fantastic venue will play host to presentations from 27 of the brightest young minds in the arts industries.
The conference will be attended by over 90 students and lecturers from LIPA as well as arts industry companies and professionals with a small number of spaces available to members of the public.
The Conference is the culmination of 10 weeks of intense discussion, debate and learning. Music, Theatre and Entertainment Management students have been pleased and privileged to host 10 of the best managers in the music, theatre and entertainment industries to discuss issues currently affecting our industries and our future. These include music industry lawyer Ann Harrison, dance manager Jeanette Siddall, as well as Chris Carey, Global Insight Manager at EMI and actor and activist Elaine C Smith.
